Alex fritz into semis at youth worlds

our very own Alex Fritz made it into the semi final round of the IFSC youth world championships.
very proud of our boy. i believe he is the first of our boys to make it out of the qualifying rounds at the world championships (edit, bhops just reminded me that he made semis in ecuador). nice job buddy, good luck tomorrow.
overall the US team has had 16 out of 26 make it through to semis. pretty good, but not our best year. a few years ago we had something like 24 out of 26. but of course that is when i was on the coaching staff ;)
from all of us at the VW climbing team, we love you alex, and of course,
BOO Fritz!!!!!

my kids cant see.......whaaa, whaaa, whaaaa

weve been hearing this since the opening game. in Qwest field you stand and support your sounders in most sections. if you want to sit, which is more than reasonable, buy tickets up in the club section. this family is really teaching their kids how to support their boys. great idea.

sounders tie salt lake

our guy josh who sits in front of us at sounders games hates nate jaqua. he really doesnt think he is any good (i on the other hand think he's great). all josh does is talk garbage about jaqua when he is in the game.
at half time tonight, kevin, our other buddy who sits in front of us, went down to the pro shop and got josh a present.
GO JAQUA!!!!! GO SOUNDERS!!!!!!

youth world championships, edinburgh scotland on right now

rhode island

here are some shots from my trip to rhode island. my wife is from a place called hope valley which is pretty much 15 minutes from Narragansett and 30 minutes from providence. about an hour from newport. we had a wonderful time. it was very relaxing. a perfect end to an all but perfect summer for me. we spent time sitting on the porch, going to the beach (which was an exact replica of what you would see at the jersey shore), smoozing with the yacht crowd in newport. we went to the aquarium, and the sounders vs. new england game. i really cant explain how much fun i had in a very short time. i wish we could have spent another few days for sure.

Husky Stadium 20??

new rendering of husky stadium. finally, i am super psyched on what it could look like. getting rid of the track that keeps fans from their beloved huskies is one of the best things we can do.
GO DAWGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
